It turns out the rumour of F4 becoming F3 is true, after B’in Music unveils the first single of the trio with Mayday’s Ashin and Jay Chou.
On 5 December, the record label revealed the collaboration between Jerry Yan, Vic Chou and Vanness Wu with the two big Taiwanese hitmakers on social media, writing, “A dream team of cosmic superstars unite! The Chinese music scene witnesses an unprecedented and unrepeatable historic moment!”
“Jay Chou, Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, Vic Chou, and Ashin of Mayday’s legendary collaboration, the new single “Forever Forever,” will be released globally on 5 December. Composed by Jay Chou and with lyrics by Ashin of Mayday, these two powerhouses join forces to write an unprecedented new chapter in their legendary saga, creating an eternal anthem of “F ✦ FOREVER,” arguably the strongest collaboration in history,” it added.
While the agency removed its comment button on the said post, it didn’t do so for subsequent posts, causing fans of F4 to flood the comments with the same question: “Where is Ken?”
One commenter said, “Fans waited so long for an F4 comeback, so it feels harsh to see Ken Zhu removed, especially with a reason that comes off a bit shallow for someone who was such a big part of our childhood.”
Last month, it was reported that their label was unhappy that Ken kept revealing details about their plans and has decided not to include the singer in the upcoming project.
However, when asked about it, Ken’s rep said that they do not know what was going on and that it was not convenient for them to respond.
Meanwhile, fans are now going to Ken’s social media account to express support for the singer, with some saying that they will not be supporting the comeback if he is not a part of it.
