Singer Baekho, formerly of the group NU’EST, will be enlisting in the military soon.

The news was confirmed by TEAM BAEKHO via an official statement, saying that the singer will enlist at the Army Training Centre on 29 December, receive basic military training, and then serve as an active-duty soldier.

They added that there will be no official event on the day of enlistment.

“As the training camp entrance ceremony will be attended by many soldiers and their families, we ask that you refrain from visiting the site. We ask for your continued support and encouragement until Baekho fulfils his military duty and returns in good health.”

Baekho, real name Kang Dong-ho, debuted in 2012 as a member of NU’EST, the first boy group under Pledis Entertainment. He left the company, where he had been for 13 years, in March this year and signed with Prismfilter, releasing his solo album “RUSH MODE”.
