Regina Ho recently dismissed rumours of a conflict with Charmaine Sheh, after it was revealed that her character Tsui Hiu Mei was absent from the sequel of “The Queen of News”.
The actress, whose character was quite significant in the original 2023 TVB series, was nowhere to be seen in the second season, even during the memorial service for her boyfriend, played by Kenneth Ma.
The lack of appearance had since restarted the rumour of a discord between Regina and lead actress, Charmaine.
Responding to fans’ questions on Instagram Story, Regina stated that like everybody, she also missed the role, which she admitted to be very important to her acting career.
“Actually, I tried my best to participate, but due to the plot and scheduling issues of the previous season, I couldn’t appear,” she said.
It is noted that Regina was also heavily pregnant during the production of the sequel, which began in April this year.
However, she assured that she would try her best to bring back her character if there is a third season of the series, though that will depend on the production.
