Jackson Yee has recently opened up about his first Golden Rooster win for Best Actor, saying that the accolade does not mean that he is now an accomplished actor.
The actor, who attended the Beijing premiere of his new movie, “Resurrection” recently, was asked about his thoughts on being the youngest actor to win the accolade, to which he said, “This award is merely a recognition of the achievements I made during the summer of 2023, not a lifelong accomplishment.”
“I will be more responsible and work harder in my future work,” he added.

Just days after winning Best Actor at the 38th Golden Rooster Awards for “Big World”, his new movie, “Resurrection” officially premiered in China on 22 November. The film had already surpassed RMB 100 million yuan in pre-sales before its official release and had previously won a Special Jury Prize in the main competition section of the 78th Cannes Film Festival.
In the Bi Gan movie, Jackson takes on the challenge of playing five different roles, including a “monster” in a Republican-era dungeon, a handsome young man, and a monk who has returned to secular life.
