It has been announced that Rowoon will be making his debut in the Japanese film industry.

According to his agency FNC Entertainment on 6 October, Rowoon will play FBI agent Clyde Yoon in the Japanese film, “The Last Man: First Love”.

The movie is said to be a film adaptation of the 2023 Japanese TBS drama “Last Man: The Blind Profiler”. The story follows FBI special agent Hiromi Minami and detective Shintaro Godo as they work together to solve cases. Minami will be played by Masaharu Fukuyama, and Godo by Yo Oizumi.

The production team stated, “Clyde Yoon is a strong-willed character, on par with Minami. We believed Rowoon, with his charm and charisma, was the only actor who could take on this role.”

Rowoon commented, “Appearing in a Japanese production is a new challenge for me. I’ve always wanted to act in different languages and cultural settings.  My character, Yoon, is full of confidence and ambition for success.”

The movie will be released in Japan on 24 December.
