ONE OK ROCK’s bassist Ryota Kohama recently announced that he and wife, Michelle Lavigne, have called it quits on their marriage.
The musician shared the joint-statement with Michelle on social media on 30 September, which read, “After many years together, we’ve decided to go our separate ways as a couple. Though our lives will change, we will always support each other as parents.”
“We are truly grateful for the time we’ve shared and the family we’ve built together. We appreciate your kindness and understanding as we begin this new chapter,” they added.
Ryota tied the knot with Michelle, who is the sister of Canadian pop rock icon Avril Lavigne, back in February 2017. The two welcomed their daughter Ellanie in the same year.
