Kunda Hsieh was revealed to have suspended work on his variety show, “Mr. Player” following his conscription evasion scandal.
The news was confirmed by Sanlih Entertainment Television, stating that Kunda had been deliberating on taking a step back for many days prior to his decision.
“Out of love for ‘Mr. Player’ and concern about affecting the viewing experience, he has asked for a temporary leave. When the show goes to South Korea in early November, Alan Ko will temporarily take his place,” they stated.

The singer was one of the five artistes that were detained for questioning over evading military service, aside from fellow ENERGY member, Shuwei.
Because of that, B’in Music recently announced that the group’s activities will be suspended from now until 30 June 2026. Commercial performances such as New Year’s Eve and year-end parties will be cancelled, with only charity events and the Taipei Arena concert scheduled for early next year.
