STARTO Entertainment recently announced that Yuto Nakajima has graduated from Hey! Say! JUMP.
Sharing the news on 28 August, the company released a statement that read, “Hey! Say! JUMP will celebrate its 18th anniversary this November, and as we continued to discuss activities leading up to the 20th anniversary, Nakajima expressed his desire to pursue independent activities.”
“We have reached the conclusion that we must respect his wishes, and we have also decided to respect his wishes. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the fans and people involved who have supported Nakajima to date, and we sincerely apologise for this sudden announcement,” they added.
The company also stated that Yuto plans to focus on his acting career and will open his own fan club in October 2025.
Yuto has also released his own statement, thanking the members who have been with him since the start of the journey, as well as the fans who have supported them unconditionally.
“As I reflected on what I could do as an individual and who I truly am, I realised that I have a strong passion for acting. That passion has become more certain, and I have decided to stand on my own and focus my future activities on being an actor,” he posted.
