Tony Leung Chiu Wai recently admitted that he actually prefers working with “who” rather than “what” when it comes to choosing his projects.

In a recent interview with Edison Chen on the latter’s YouTube Show ZONED, the award-winning actor was asked about his decisions when it comes to picking his films, to which he said, “Usually I don’t consider the movie itself or the story. I value who I work with.”

Using the example of Marvel’s “Shang-Chi”, Tony said, “I actually didn’t care for those fight scenes. It’s just that after talking to the director [Destin Daniel Cretton], I liked him a lot as a person. I thought he’d be fun to work with in a movie so it always depends on the people.”
