After being announced as the director for a John Wick spinoff movie back in April, Donnie Yen recently revealed that he has already started scouting locations for the movie.
The action star, who appeared at The Fact Music Awards in Macau on 20 September, stated that he has already found a favourite location to be one of the sets of the upcoming project somewhere in Hong Kong or Macau.
“I can’t reveal it yet. But I have already applied to the relevant departments and will start casting soon,” he said.
Asked if Keanu Reeves will be making a cameo like in “Ballerina”, Donnie responded, “I don’t know yet. I will tell you later.”
Donnie made his appearance in the fourth John Wick film as a character named Caine, who is a blind assassin. The upcoming spinoff will be about the said character, and has been described as a Hong Kong-style action thriller.
