Ali Lee has dismissed the notion that she was avoiding promoting her final TVB drama, “Heavenly Hand”, after not appearing at any of the promotional events throughout the broadcast.

The actress, who announced her departure from TVB in early January, recently addressed the rumours during an appearance at a fashion event, saying that she had just returned to Hong Kong after completing filming in Malaysia.

Said Ali, “I was filming in Malaysia from the time it aired until its conclusion. It’s difficult to just leave and come back for promotions. If I were in Hong Kong, of course I would.”

“I haven’t heard of any celebrations, but if there were, I would definitely participate. The most important thing is to work hard to finish the show and make sure everyone thinks it’s good,” she said.

As for her new Malaysian drama, Ali enthused, “It is my first time filming a drama in Malaysia and it was a great experience and challenge. The format is similar to the previous company, but having new cast creates new spark.”

The drama in question is the Astro Originals series, “The Exiled”, which also co-stars Lai Lok Yi.

Asked if her acting itch has returned, she responded, “It’s always been there. If I haven’t filmed for a while, I’ll get the itch. If there’s a script that strikes my fancy, I’ll want to do it again.”
