Zheng Kai (aka Ryan Zhang) has recently released a statement dismissing rumours of a clash with his sister-in-law.
The whole issue sparked after it was rumoured that the actor had suspended his in-law’s family’s supplementary credit card, which he had applied for his mother-in-law’s use.
However, Zheng Kai reportedly was unhappy after finding out that sister-in-law Miao Yibo had instead used it to buy a designer bag worth RMB 82,000.
In response to this, Zheng Kai’s studio spoke out on 26 August, stating, “Recently, multiple untrue allegations and malicious assumptions about Mr. Zheng Kai and his family have appeared across online platforms. They are completely baseless and may severely infringe upon their legal rights.”
Zheng Kai has also reposted the statement and wrote, “Don’t believe rumours. Don’t spread rumours. Focus on my new work.”
Wife Miao Miao has also laughed off the issue and commented, “Nonsense rumours can also become a hot search.”
