Dylan Wang’s camp has recently slammed the action of a netizen who claimed to have recorded an argument between the actor and a mystery woman believed to be his girlfriend.
The whole issue sparked after a netizen, claiming to be a “girlfriend fan” of Dylan, released a 27-minute recording from outside his hotel room, alleging that it captured an intense argument between Dylan and a “mystery woman”.
The audio allegedly features emotional argument, with the woman saying lines like “Even if I’m with you for 10 years”, “Is it you cheating, or am I?” and “Before you pay me, you call me crazy”, fuelling speculation that Dylan had maintained a secret long-term relationship.
However, some netizens doubt the nature of the fight, seeing that the argument has also mentioned words like “salary”, “work communication” and “starting at 8AM”. It also involved a third party named “Pipi” trying to appease the two parties.
In response, Dylan’s studio released a statement that read, “Regarding the chat recordings and other related content circulating online today, in order to protect the artiste’s privacy and personal safety, the studio has submitted it to judicial processing. In response to the above situation, we now make the following solemn statements.”
“1. Illegal acquisition, filming, recording, disclosure, and sale of personal information are serious violations of the law. Please do not believe or spread such false information! 2. The studio hereby issues a warning to relevant users, please immediately stop all illegal activities that infringe on the artiste’s privacy. The studio has retained all evidence and reserves all rights to pursue legal responsibility. 3. Resolutely resist all forms of “private life” such as stalking, snooping, and harassment. We will deal with any behaviour that violates the bottom line of the law seriously and will not tolerate it!”
The statement, however, did not explain the identity of the “mysterious woman”, which again aroused doubts.
On the other hand, the netizen who recorded the argument denied it was a secret recording, saying that the argument was so loud it could be heard in the hallway.
