Ken Zhu couldn’t help but laugh after realising that he has become a topic of discussion over his decision to delete Ming Dao from his social media contacts.

The singer-actor, who was asked about this during a livestream, said that he isn’t someone who would be adding people on social media unless it’s necessary for work, but will generally accept friend requests.

“But then I will quietly wonder, is this someone who might need me for something in the future? And if there’s been no contact for two to three years, I will just assume that I am no longer of use to them and there is no need for us to keep contact,” he said.

He emphasised that deleting someone is not emotional or personal, but simply a way for him to organise and filter his personal space.

When talking about his relationship with Ming Dao, Ken laughed and said this wasn’t the first time he had deleted him and that Ming Dao doesn’t really mind it.

“He understood and even said ‘I deleted people too’,” Ken added.

The actor said that his social circle is very small, and aside from his wife and work partners, he doesn’t see himself as someone who relies on networking.
