After news of Sun Li’s daughter winning a dance competition in the UK, a new rumour has emerged that the actress was not just in the country to show support, but that she and the whole family have moved there.
Sources alleged that Sun Li and actor husband Deng Chao have secretly moved to the UK and bought a luxury house in Kensington, London, with plans to enrol their children to a top private school in the country.
This was further fuelled by the fact that Deng Chao has been taking on international projects lately, seemingly paving a way for a life abroad. Some fans also revealed that they saw Deng Chao and his family visiting the Cambridge University in July last year.
Netizens also dug up an old news, where it was revealed that Sun Li was photographed in Hong Kong applying for the “Quality Migrant Admission Scheme” while pregnant with her second child.
She successfully obtained Hong Kong residency and gave birth to her daughter there. In doing so, she not only avoided the mainland’s “over birth fine” but also ensured that her daughter Hanyi is granted permanent residency in Hong Kong at birth.
Hanyi’s place of birth also meant she is eligible for educational advantages, including taking the Hong Kong college entrance examination, which can be used to apply to prestigious universities around the world.
