Kollywood stars will be shining their lights in Malaysia this coming 17 May, as they arrive in Penang for the Edison Awards.
To be held at the Setia SPICE Arena, the 17th edition of the award will see the appearances of Kollywood actors SJ Suryah, Simran, Ananth Ram, Khushboo and Vijay Kanishka among others.
“We expect around 6,500 attendees to witness the dazzling performances, exclusive red carpet show, and special sessions with some of the biggest names in the industry,” said founder J. Selvakumar. “This marks the first time the Edison Awards will be held in Penang, following a smaller-scale event in Kuala Lumpur back in 2017.”
The upcoming awards will honour film players in 50 categories including Best Actor and Actress, with actors vying for the actor award include Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vikram, Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi.
The event will be officiated by Penang Chief Minister, Chow Kon Yeow.
