Rumour has it that Dee Hsu might not be returning to her TV show just yet, despite previously taking a six-month break from work to settle family matters following sister Barbie Hsu’s death.
The TV personality, who has been hosting her namesake show, “Dee Girls Talk” since 2022, took a break from the show back in February following the sudden demise of her sister. Producer Chen Yan-ming had since invited Sandy Wu to act as a host in replacement of Dee.
It was originally thought that Dee will return this August, but according to sources, the TV host is still unprepared to make her comeback, seeing that she is still grieving the loss and having a tough time balancing between her own grief, her family and taking care of her mother.

B2 and his team reportedly have been in talks with Sandy to continue to be Dee’s substitute while Dee focuses on her own well-being for now.
Meanwhile, Dee recently posted on social media for the first time since her sister’s passing, sharing a photo of her holding hands with Barbie and wrote, “My sister has always been my support since I was young. Whenever I encounter something I dare not do, she will say: Dee, you are such a coward! That is her way of encouraging me!”
Saying that Barbie was the first person she spoke to whenever there was something going on in her life, Dee said, “There are still so many questions I want to ask her opinion on, and I really want to hug her, that strong-seeming woman who was actually so fragile inside. Shan, now I really have to pull myself together, because mum really misses you, and I miss you so much too. But I have to take good care of mum. If I don’t, you’d probably say again: ‘Dee, how old are you already, and you still don’t know how to take care of mum?’ Everyone tells me to move on, but I don’t want to go anywhere because you’ll always be in my heart, always, until the moment we meet again.”
