After 13 years of waiting, Malaysian fans will finally welcome Li Yundi and his Mozart World Tour solo recital.
The youngest winner of the Chopin International Piano Competition, Yundi has finally announced his Kuala Lumpur solo recital on Tuesday, 24 June 2025 at Malaysia’s most prestigious and first purpose-built classical concert hall – Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS.
“I want to return to my roots,” he said, as Mozart has been the wellspring of his musical inspiration. “I was captivated by Mozart’s music when I was just seven.”
Through his interpretation, Yundi hopes to let audiences worldwide experience again “the genius of the most exquisite composer, with his colorful and deeply human melodies.”
Yundi’s Mozart sonata project world tour began in Australia and has since passed through cities historically linked to Mozart, such as Vienna, Paris, Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne, and Berlin.
Last year, Yundi also released a namesake promotional album, making the tour especially commemorative. His music has resonated across continents, sparking a global classical wave and leaving an indelible artistic mark.
