Cherrie Ying recently took to social media to warn everybody to always be cautious of scammers, especially those who misuse her husband Jordan Chan’s name.
The actress recently shared an official statement on Instagram, saying that they have not authorised any other individuals or organisations to negotiate for Jordan about his upcoming national tour, nor will they engage in any fundraising activities in the name of Jordan’s concert.
“All the following people who come to you to discuss cooperation are scammers,” she added.
Cherrie also asked her husband’s friends, partners, and team to be wary so not to be fooled by these scammers.
The actress reportedly issued the statement following a recent court judgment, which found a woman guilty of two counts of fraud and sentenced her to two years and nine months in prison. The woman was revealed to have committed a crime seven years ago by using Jordan’s name, saying that she was looking for investors on behalf of an entertainment company to raise funds for the singer’s concert.
She was revealed to have defrauded nearly HKD 1.28 million.
