Fiona Sit recently admitted that she was in a state of despair following news of Khalil Fong’s death.

In a recent interview with a Chinese magazine, Fiona said that she had temporarily turned down some work due to her loss, but still had to carry out her concert and appearances at music festivals that were already agreed upon.

She admitted that she originally wanted to postpone the official announcement of the concert, but after much deliberation, Fiona realised that she could not let her emotions affect her team and partners.

“In the end, I still have to be a rational person. What’s the benefit of announcing it later?” she said.

Fiona revealed that although she cried on the first day after learning of Khalil Fong’s death, her body had not yet fully reacted and she subsequently collapsed.

“I couldn’t do anything, and I started losing my appetite. I vomited when I didn’t eat, and it was difficult to breathe. It was as if half of me was missing.”

The two were rumoured to have dated for many years

The singer said that she even had to go for counselling and forced herself to cry at night but not cry too much. These situations reminded her of her experience suffering from depression more than a decade ago.

“I thought I had learned to let go, but when it really happened, all the principles learned in the psychology textbooks collapsed,” she added.

Fiona then said that she would continue to move forward and live a good life with Khalil’s expectations. She also revealed that she cherishes her deep friendship with Khalil very much, hopes that the outside world can understand her situation, and believes that time will restore everything.

Khalil’s studio confirmed news of his passing on 1 March, saying that he actually passed away on 21 February from an unspecified illness. He was 41.
