Louis Koo has recently released a statement to affirm that he has never collaborated with an online gambling platform, which has been using his likeness to promote their business.

Recently, the actor became the latest star to be targeted by fraudsters who used AI (artificial intelligence) technology to create a video featuring his voice and likeness, combined with clips from his previous films.

The video falsely portrayed him as the spokesperson for an online gambling platform, with the AI even saying, “Hello, I am Hong Kong actor Louis Koo,” and claiming that the platform was easy to win money on, fun, and safe.

In response, Louis posted a statement from his management company on social media, emphasising that he had never collaborated with the platform in question and warned the public not to be deceived.

They stated, “We recently discovered an AI video on social media promoting the online gaming platform RWS77, which falsely claims that Mr. Louis Koo is their brand spokesperson for 2025 to 2026. Mr. Koo has never worked with or endorsed RWS77 or promoted their business. We urge everyone to remain vigilant.”

“Anyone who disregards the facts and uses Mr. Koo’s name or likeness for fraudulent or false promotion will be held accountable. We remind everyone not to believe such things to avoid being deceived,” the statement concluded.
