Lay Zhang is happy to announce that he is now a university student.
The singer shared the good news on social media on 13 October, writing, “Hey guys, a little life update – I got the TOEFL score I needed, and I’m officially a college student now! Back to school, learning new things, and chasing my dreams. Wish me luck!”
He later posted an image of his new living situation in Los Angeles, and posted, “I’m in LA. Where are you guys?”
It is noted that the singer, who has been in the industry since he was 17 after being recruited by SM Entertainment to join the K-pop group EXO, has previously expressed his desire to further his studies. He had shared that not being able to go to university has always been regretful for him.
The singer reportedly had begun preparing for the TOEFL exam at the beginning of this year while simultaneously juggling his career. However, he made no mention as to which American college that he has enrolled in.
