After a week of mourning, Fiona Sit has finally broken her silence following the passing of her rumoured ex-boyfriend, Khalil Fong.
The singer, who previously changed her social media account’s profile picture to an illustration from Khalil’s book, posted for the first time about the late singer-songwriter on Weibo on 8 March, writing, “I feel very sorry for the past eight days. Due to my condition, my team and I have discussed more than once about postponing the subsequent work. In fact, we did cancel some of the scheduled trips. Thank you, all partners, for your understanding and giving me time to recover slowly.”
“I never thought that 43-year-old Fiona Sit would once again need to be encouraged by all relatives and friends who love her. I thought I was already very strong, but the arrangement of the universe often gives us unexpected tests. I thought for a long time whether I should express it or not, and finally choose to tell everyone my thoughts. I have always just wanted everyone to see the happiest me, because that is the Fiona I want to be the most, although sometimes I will secretly fail. I also feel that there is no photo or any written words that can express my sadness and let me and everyone feel relieved. A song may touch your heart because it is sincere, so today I have to learn to be braver and more sincere to face myself and everyone.”

Fiona said that she hasn’t posted anything because she thought vulnerability was only for herself.
“Vulnerability is for tomorrow’s strength. Although each of us finally achieves strength and release at different times, some are faster, some are slower. But I believe that everyone can meet at the same destination in the end, as long as we bravely respond to love with actions and appreciate the ones we love,” she posted.
In addition to cancelling some work due to physical problems, Fiona said that she also thought about cancelling the concert that had been scheduled earlier, but after thinking it over, she finally decided to continue with the schedule and changed the name of the concert from “Light” to “Let Me Love You”.
“The name of the concert itself is ‘Light’, but later I wanted to make it simpler, so I changed it to ‘Let Me Love You’. Because when you understand love, you also have light. I hope that in the future, everyone will get the light and energy you want not only in music, at concerts, and when you see me. In every moment and every encounter in life, you can welcome its beauty,” she added.
In a previous interview, Fiona had said that Khalil was a gift from God to her, that the singer was the one who pulled her back from the brink when she was having the most difficult period of her life.
