After announcing his marriage with Maple Yip in the United States, one of Alex Fong’s first order of business as he arrived in Hong Kong was to meet veteran actress Rebecca Chan.
On 1 March, the actress posted a couple of photos of her with Alex and his newly-wedded wife, writing, “My second prince has finally entered another stage of life. The Empress Dowager wishes them happiness.”
To that, Alex responded, “Thank you, Queen Mother.”
The nicknames were in reference to their 2005 drama, “My Family”, where Alex plays one of Rebecca’s sons alongside Hawick Lau and Sam Chan.
The two have also played mother and son in two other movies, “Marriage with a Fool” (2006) and “Anniversary” (2015), both starring Alex’s former long-time girlfriend Stephy Tang.
It was back on Valentine’s Day that Alex announced that he has tied the knot with his girlfriend of two years.
