Michelle Chen has recently denied rumours saying that she has taken her son Chen Muchen back to Taiwan now that she is no longer married to mainland actor Chen Xiao.
As reported on Oriental Daily, sources previously claimed that Michelle has been busy completing the transfer procedures for her son, and that he will be continuing school in Taiwan instead.
The rumour sparked heated discussions among netizens, who said that it would cause a big change in her son’s life to be separated not only from his father but also his friends.
In response, on 25 February, the actress’ studio released a statement saying that Michelle’s son is not transferring school and is still studying and living in Beijing.
“These are just rumours. Please stop making groundless speculations and halt all malicious reports,” the studio added.
Previously, some netizens claimed that Michelle and Chen Xiao’s son is currently studying at an international school that has a tuition fee of RMB 270,000 per annum.
It was back on 18 February that Michelle and Chen finally confirmed that they are divorced, after months of speculations.
