Ivy Shao has recently laughed off rumours saying that she and boyfriend Wu Kang-ren have secretly tied the knot.
The actress, who attended the wrap-up party for her new movie on 26 February, addressed the rumour that has been swirling since late last year, saying that there is no truth to it at all.
“I don’t know who told people that. Even my mum called me to ask,” she said with a laugh.
Ivy, however, admitted that she and Wu had dinner with both families on Chinese New Year, seeing that both of them are from Kaohsiung.
Asked if they have pressured her to get married, she said, “No. My mother even said in the past that I am not allowed to get married before the age of 30. She thinks people should fulfil their dreams while they are young.”
Meanwhile, Ivy admitted that Wu had been very supportive of her playing the lead in the new movie.
“I was under a lot of pressure and he gave me a lot of encouragement,” she added.
