The second season of “Squid Game” has secured its position as Netflix’s third most-watched series, trailing only its own first season and Tim Burton’s “Wednesday.”
Since its premiere on 26 December 2024, the series has accumulated 152.5 million total views and continues to grow.
It shattered records by becoming Netflix’s biggest TV debut, reaching 68 million views within its first four days. The series further demonstrated its popularity by garnering 126.2 million views in just 11 days, surpassing all previous Netflix series achievements for that timeframe.

The success follows the unexpected hit of its first season, which captured 265 million views during its 2021 pandemic release.
The new season follows Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) as he returns to the mysterious survival game, seeking revenge against the Front Man and determined to end the games entirely. The story also features detective Hwang Jun-ho (Wi Ha-joon), who embarks on a quest to locate his missing brother.
