The K-pop group BLITZERS might have rejoiced at receiving a standing ovation on the latest season of “Britain’s Got Talent”, but it did rub some viewers the wrong way.
The six-member group, who took to the stage as the first K-pop group ever to appear on the reality show, received four “yeses” from the judges including Simon Cowell after performing Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back”.

But despite the support and cheers they received from the live audience, many Brits who watched the show from home were unhappy to see what was unfolding.
Reactions were mixed, as some criticised the group for being better dancers than singers. One stated, “Why are people screaming for these lads? The dancing is fine, but the singing is letting them down.”
Meanwhile, others complained on social media that the show seemed to be about everybody else but British people.
“Why is it called Britain’s Got Talent when acts from all over the world are allowed to enter? How many acts have been from South Korea this year!!!” posted one commenter.
BLITZERS made their debut in 2021 under Wuzo Entertainment.
It is noted that last year, Indonesia’s own popular singer Cakra Khan auditioned for the show, though he was eliminated in the Deliberations.
