2023 continues to be a good year for Jennifer Yu, as it was revealed that she has been nominated Best Actress at the upcoming 60th Golden Horse Awards.
The actress shared the good news on social media after finding out about the nomination, saying that she is so happy that she couldn’t calm down fast enough.
“I know that I am still in confinement and shouldn’t be screaming, but I can’t help but feel so excited that I cried… This is the most pleasant surprise of my life. I am happy to have my mother and my daughter next to me sharing the moment with me,” she said.
It is noted that Jennifer is nominated for her performance in “In Broad Daylight”, in which she plays an investigative journalist Kay who goes undercover upon getting a tip about abuse in a care home for the elderly and disabled.
Said Jennifer, “This is a social issue that needs public attention and I hope that the nomination will attract people’s attention to this issue.”
The actress also hopes that she will be good and ready when it’s time to attend the awards ceremony on 25 November at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, Taipei, seeing that she is currently still in confinement following the birth of her second child.
It is noted that the actress was nominated Best Supporting Actress last year at the Golden Horse Awards for her performance in “Far Far Away”
