Jake Cuenca is elated to be part of the upcoming ABS-CBN project, “Cattleya Killer”.
The actor, who spoke to the media when he attended the “Kapamilya Strong 2022” event to renew his contract with ABS-CBN, stated that he is just happy to be able to work with Arjo Atayde and director Dan Villegas in the said project.
“‘Sa Aking Mga Kamay’, the original movie, was one of the movies that really inspired me to be an actor,” he said, referring to the Christopher de Leon-starrer. “As a big fan of Aga Muhlach, Christopher De Leon, and Chin-Chin Gutierrez, and now to do this installment of that is such a big honour for me, a big blessing.”
Speaking about his decision to renew his contract with ABS-CBN, Jake stated that he has always thought of the network as his home, despite the franchise issue.
“This is our home. And at the same time to do these quality projects, to push the limits of entertainment, to revolutionise the industry, I really believe that ABS-CBN is the one and only network that can do that. I’m just happy to be here,” he said.
Aside from Jake, other Kapamilya stars who renewed their contracts are Loisa Andalio, Ronnie Alonte, Jolina Magdangal, Erich Gonzales, Shaina Magdayao, Sam Milby, Gerald Anderson, Zanjoe Marudo, Gary Valenciano, and Regine Velasquez.
