More than a month after announcing the birth of her child, Alice Dixson finally revealed the name and gender of her very first baby born through surrogacy.
As reported on GMA News, the 51 year-old actress made the announcement in a segment of the noontime show, “Eat Bulaga!”, in which she talked about being a first time mother at her age.
Revealing that she welcomed a daughter who has been named Aura, Dixson expressed, “It’s an amazing experience. I wish I knew about it earlier, and I wish I had an opportunity to have a child earlier.”
“But here she is … Maybe like all first-time mums, it’s hard to stay awake, it’s hard to make adjustments in feeding the baby and then honestly, until now, I still don’t have a nanny. I don’t have a nanny, so it’s all on me,” she admitted.
The actress also revealed that she had actually travelled abroad on her own to bring back Aura due to the pandemic, and had to manage on her own when it came to her baby’s passport, visa, and other travel requirements.
“I’m not complaining,” she stressed. “I’m enjoying every moment. I didn’t panic that I would have to take care of my baby. In fact, I embraced the experience because I got to know my daughter and for us to have bonding time as well.”
As to what she would hope for Aura, Dixson expressed, “I just hope she grows to be a strong woman. My mum was very strong. I learned from her to be persistent, to see the bright side of things, and to just be a ray of sunshine.”
