Although most films have been made for OTT and mobile platforms since the pandemic, the production of the upcoming Bea Alonzo-Alden Richards film recently assured that their movie will be screened in the cinemas, GMA reported.

APT Entertainment CEO and President Mike Tuviera recently confirmed this, saying that they really felt that the movie, which is an adaptation of the Korean film, “A Moment to Remember” (which itself is an adaptation of a Japanese TV series called “Pure Soul”), will work better as a big screen project.

“What we really want is to feel the emotionality and the characters on the big screen. It’s important to us that people can experience it in its full glory in theatres,” he said.

However, Tuviera stressed that they will still ensure that the safety of the viewers will be the utmost important.

“Because we’re about to shoot and then there’s still post-production, so we’ll see. Of course, safety comes first for our audience. Rest assured that we’re making the movie as a big theatrical experience,” he added.

Lead actress Bea Alonzo also expressed happiness over the news, saying that while artistes are happy to have a lot of different platforms to show their movies, it is also their responsibility to create a film that would make audiences go to the theatres so that the industry would not die.

“As actors, I feel like we’re supposed to be responsible, and I still want to give people that movie experience,” she added.

It was last year that Alonzo expressed her interest in working with Richards on a big screen project, having cooperated with the actor on an advertisement prior.
