The Music Godfather and The Treble Prince, David Tao and Shin, are coming to Penang this weekend to make good on their promise of a free event for their fans in Malaysia.
The Mandopop stars are doing so in order to make up for the cancellation of their concert in the Northern Malaysian state, which was supposed to have been held last September.

As mentioned, the Taiwanese singers had a concert scheduled for 21 September this year, but – as revealed in a press statement – it was “cancelled before the opening due to the failure of the organiser to pay the concert-related expenses.”
Both then announced that they will host a fan meeting instead, which requires no payment from fans as the duo will not be accepting any artist fee.
Expect David Tao, who last visited Malaysia five years ago for a concert in Genting Highlands, to serenade fans with his greatest hits and Shin, the former frontman of rock band Shin who’s been rocking a solo career for more than a decade now, to return with plenty of new hits since his last visit in the country seven years ago.
