Hawick Lau has recently confirmed that he is now in a new relationship with 32-year-old model Christy Lai (Lai Kei Kwan).
The 52-year-old admitted to the romance after a tabloid published photos and videos of them holding hands in Kowloon Bay on 16 October after a pickleball game.
“Thank you, everyone, for your concern. We met through playing tennis and discovered that we share common interests, so we get along very well. We’re both simple people,” said Hawick when asked about the relationship.
Christy also responded to the reports, saying, “We got to know each other through tennis. Things feel very natural and happy when we’re together. Thank you, everyone, for your blessings.”
As to whether she has met Hawick’s daughter Noemi, the model said that she will not respond to other matters for the time being.
“I hope everyone can give us some space,” she added.
Hawick was previously married to actress Yang Mi and dated mainland actress Li Xiaofeng following his divorce. However, the couple ended things in April this year.
