Jing Di recently made a plea for fans to stop waiting for her at her hotel or make special requests, so not to cause any discomfort to others.

On 3 October, the singer took to social media to express her frustration over the situation, saying that she has to decline requests from fans to ride along with her in her car, or privately give out autographs and videos in the vehicles provided to her as it was meant for her to rest and travel between destinations.

“If I allowed other people to ride along or privately gave out autographs and videos, it wouldn’t be fair to the other fans who quietly support me. The affection and favour I receive from everyone should be met with equal respect. There shouldn’t be special treatment given privately to certain people, because I don’t want this love and support to become unequal,” she expressed.

She said that she also noticed some people waiting at hotels in the hopes of meeting her and taking photos.

“Although this may not currently cause any congestion or disruption, such behaviour could set a bad precedent. Once it becomes an accepted practice, more and more people may start waiting outside hotels in the future. It could also disturb other hotel guests who are trying to rest and create additional work for the hotel staff,” she said.

Jing said that she prefers meeting fans when she’s on stage, and that she will continue to hone her skills so that she can give everybody the best performance.

“You can listen to the music at ease, while I put my heart into singing for you. Finding a comfortable and appropriate rhythm for how we interact, and making our way to each stage together, is the sincerest response I want to give you all,” she added.
