Stray Kids’ member Han has marked his 26th birthday by making a generous donation to child-related organisations.
On 14 September, the singer, real name Han Ji-sung, donated a total of KRW 100 million (approx. USD 74,400) to Angels Haven, where the funds will be split equally, with KRW 50 million going towards protecting children who have suffered abuse and supporting their psychological treatment, while the remaining 50 million will be used to support childcare and education for children at Eunpyeong Angel’s Home.
After announcing his donation, Han said, “I wanted to offer even a small measure of warm comfort to children who have been wounded. I sincerely hope that the children can overcome their pain within a warm and caring environment and regain their bright smiles.”
This is nothing new for the K-pop idol. Last year on his birthday, Han supported medical and caregiving expenses for adult patients with severe illnesses at Samsung Seoul Hospital, as well as donating funds towards medical expenses for paediatric and adolescent patients.
As part of Stray Kids, he also donated to Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association and World Vision to support recovery efforts following the wildfires in Gyeongsangnam-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do.
