Zanilia Zhao’s camp has recently apologised after the actress was unable to attend a livestream event despite already arriving on location.
The whole issue sparked on 25 August, when the actress was scheduled to appear on a brand’s livestream. However, after arriving at the venue punctually, she suddenly felt unwell and was eventually rushed to the hospital for treatment, causing the event to be abruptly cancelled.
The event host stated that Zanilia had actually insisted on continuing with the schedule, but was unable to do so as her condition continued to deteriorate.
It was alleged that the actress suffered severe heatstroke when she got out of her car due to the contrast between the temperature in the car and the outdoor summer heat.
Zanilia’s studio subsequently issued a statement confirming that the actress had suddenly fallen ill, expressing, “After urgent communication between our team and the brand, we have, with great regret, decided to cancel the event. We understand that everyone has been waiting for a long time and deeply regret the situation. We sincerely apologise to every friend who has been waiting.”
The studio also promised that if a new date for the event is confirmed, they will announce it as soon as possible.
This is not the first weather-related incident in recent weeks. Earlier, Angela Chang had a health scare while performing in Chengdu due to the combination of her heavy costumes and the heat.
