Zhao Lusi recently stated that she doesn’t see any problem regarding her friendship with other Internet celebrities, following criticisms regarding her social circle.
In a recent interview, the actress was asked whether she should befriend more influential people to help her career, to which she said, “What exactly constitutes influential? Is it measured by money or social status?”
She added that making friends with the intention of climbing the social ladder would contradict her own values, and that she would only be friends with people with whom she has genuine connection.
As to her friendship with social media influencers like Audrey Houben, Lusi said that she sees no issue with that.
“Many Internet celebrities handle content creation themselves without any team, agent or resources. They built their accounts from scratch to accumulate millions of followers through sheer talent and self-reliance. Isn’t that amazing?” she said.
Lusi also said she is thankful to those influencers as they also helped promote her work.
