Former actress and Miss Hong Kong alumna, Natalie Ng Man Yan (formerly known as Ng Yan Hei) has recently passed away.
The news was confirmed by her family on 9 June, stating that the actress, who had been battling cancer, passed away in the hospital surrounded by her loved ones.
They stated, “It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Natalie passed away peacefully in her sleep this morning at the hospital. Natalie was admitted on Sunday evening, and her family and best friends visited her in her final days. Her two daughters said goodbye to their mother, and a priest anointed her with oil. We believe she left peacefully with blessings and love, returning to the embrace of our Heavenly Father.”
“On her cancer battle journey, Natalie had always been strong and brave. In the limited time she had, she had done many things she never thought she would do and realised many dreams. At the same time, her positive energy had inspired many fellow travellers to face the disease together and meet the challenges of life with a positive attitude.”
Thanking everybody for their prayers and support, the family requested that everyone give them space and peace to handle all matters and face this difficult time.
Natalie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022. Despite having received treatment, in August 2024, it was announced that her breast cancer had recurred and progressed to stage four, with cancer cells spreading to her liver, bones, and brain. She maintained an optimistic attitude throughout her fight against cancer.
She was 51.
