Yoo Ah-in’s camp has denied reports that the actor will be appearing in Jang Jae-hyun’s upcoming film, “Vampire”.

On 17 December, UAA responded to questions about his supposed comeback saying, “Nothing has been decided regarding Yoo Ah-in’s appearance in Vampire. There are no confirmed plans for his return to acting.”

Prior to the statement, it was reported that director Jang Jae-hyun and the production company have offered the actor a role in the film and that the actor has supposedly met with the director.

Jang’s last directorial effort was ‘Exhuma’

The film has been described as a vampire thriller and will be Jang’s latest work following 2024’s “Exhuma”.

Yoo, real name Uhm Hong-sik, halted his showbiz activities after being involved in a high-profile drug scandal. He was sentenced to one year in prison, suspended for two years and fined KRW 2 million after he was found guilty of illegally using propofol and marijuana.
