Jackson Yee recently became the youngest actor to win Best Actor at the Golden Rooster Award.
The actor, who won the award on 15 November for his performance in “Big World,” bested more senior contenders Zhu Yilong, Da Peng, Liu Haoran and Huang Xiaoming.
He expressed, “The road ahead is long and arduous, but I hope to earn the audience’s heartfelt respect through hard work and my work.”
The actor, who played a teenager suffering from cerebral palsy in the movie, has been nominated three times before for movies like “Better Days,” “Nice View,” and “A Little Red Flower”.
The jury highly praised his performance, commending him for “presenting the resilience of life with extreme restraint,” successfully highlighting the character’s complex emotions and powerful emotional impact.
