Zhao Lusi seems to be on her best year yet, as she releases two new songs in English, much to the surprise of fans.
On 31 October, the actress unveiled the songs “Black Veil Bride” and “Don’t Wanna Know” under the name Rosy Zhao on her official Douyin account. The two upbeat songs are reportedly produced by the same team behind Lady Gaga.
It was stated that the songs were from songwriter Brian Lee, who has also worked with stars like Justin Bieber, BIG BANG and BLACKPINK.
Behind-the-scenes footage shows her diligently seeking advice from the producer, and the songs’ entirely English lyrics prompted her to meticulously correct her pronunciation, showcasing not only a new musical endeavour but also being seen as a breakthrough.
It was just recently that it was reported that Lusi successfully ended her term with Yinhekuyu Media and is now under the management of Alibaba’s Hujing Digital Media.
The actress, who will be turning 27 on 9 November, gave her fans an early gift of the songs. Check out her clip below:
