After the previous controversy surrounding his relationship to former married cheerleader Guoguo, it was revealed that Prince Chiu has now suspended all of his work activities.
As reported on Oriental Daily, his management confirmed this on 3 November, following the cancellation of his Shanghai concert and one-day store manager event in Taiwan, announcing the immediate suspension of all of Prince’s entertainment career plans and activities, emphasising that it would take the matter seriously.
The statement read, “As a public figure, he failed to set a good example and let down the expectations and trust of society. We deeply apologise and regret this. The company will urge the artiste to be honest, responsible, and courageous in taking responsibility.”
It was back in late October that the singer apologised for his mistake, after Guoguo’s husband Zack Fanchiang accused him of having an extramarital affair with the singer, saying that the two pretended to be friends while secretly betraying him.
