After announcing his marriage to Maple Yip last February, Alex Fong recently revealed that they are expecting their first child together.
On 15 June, the singer-actor posted a screenshot of his previous marriage announcement, which had two green stick figures at a pier in Santa Monica, California. This time, however, he added another smaller white stick figure between the two green ones.
He posted, “I’m going to be a dad. Wishing everyone a Happy Father’s Day #itsawonderfonglife.”
“My dad is turning 80 this year. I wish him good health and boundless energy!” he added.
Many took to the comments to congratulate the couple, including Fred Cheng, Benjamin Yuen, Grace Wong and Kay Tse, the latter who wrote, “Congratulations, I’m so happy for you.”
Alex confirmed his relationship with Maple in 2023. Maple was already known at the time following her appearance in the Netflix documentary, “In the Name of God: A Holy Betrayal”, where she spoke about being the victim of the South Korean cult leader, Jung Myung-seok.
It was on 14 February that Alex announced that he and Maple had tied the knot in the US. “We got married here. Wishing everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day. #itsawonderfonglife,” he posted.
