Louis Cheung has recently assured that wife Kay Tse is in good health, amid rumours that the mum-of-two had a serious illness early last year that supposedly changed her outlook on life.
The singer-actor, who attended an event recently, clarified that Kay previously only suffered from gastroenteritis and a burst capillary in her eye, and that he had accompanied her to the hospital. He emphasised that no surgery was performed, and there’s no need for concern.
“I myself had a slipped disc and had to go to the doctors. Going in and out of the hospital is pretty normal. She never had surgery. She has continued attending events, and everyone can see how energetic she is,” he said.
Asked if Kay was upset by such a rumour, Louis laughed and said that he told her to just laugh it off.
“We’re more concerned that friends, relatives, and fans might believe it and get scared. So, we had to clarify the situation,” he added.
As for the report saying that Kay had a collapsed lung in 2008, Louis said that Kay has always had weak lungs and that she is susceptible to flu, and coughing can easily damage her vocal cords.
However, he said that in recent years, Kay has learned a new vocal technique from a teacher, which has helped her find new joy in singing.
