While some peers his age still want to play the macho protagonists; Nick Cheung would rather play a character older than his actual age.

The 61-year-old, who sat down for an interview to promote his new movie, “Good Trip” recently, shared that acting is very important to him, and that he frankly wants to play older roles in future projects.

“I’d like to try playing a failed person in their seventies, a revenge-driven character, or even an elderly hitman. I’d be fine with playing someone even older,” he said.

Nick stated that there are many foreign films about elderly people becoming community heroes or taking revenge against the Nazis and that he is “open to going in that direction.”

At the same time, the actor, who has played villainous roles in the past including in “Beast Stalker,” also joked that he enjoys “fighting and killing” roles.

“I am not saying I like acting in movies with fighting and killing. I just enjoy this kind of gritty, intense film, so it would be a new change for me,” he added, saying that he took “Good Trip” because it challenged him as an actor as well.
