Lee Jong-suk and IU have ended their four-year relationship.
Both of the stars’ agencies have confirmed it on 10 July. Ace Factory, Lee’s agency, acknowledged the split while asking for privacy on the actor’s personal matters. On the other hand, IU’s agency, Eden Entertainment, confirmed the news as well, noting that the pair intend to remain on good terms as colleagues.
The couple’s history dates back to 2012, when they first crossed paths as co-hosts of SBS’s “Inkigayo”. Their friendship developed into romance over the years, officially confirmed in late 2022 following Lee’s heartfelt remarks at the MBC Drama Awards, which fans quickly linked to IU.
Their work responsibilities and demanding schedules reportedly left the couple with limited time together. This ultimately contributed to their decision to part ways.
Both stars remain focused on upcoming projects. Lee is set to appear in Disney+’s “The Remarried Empress”, while IU is in preparation for her concert at Goyang Stadium in September.
