Choi Si-won is set to star in the Taiwanese webtoon adaptation, “Do Not Wake Up”.
In a press release from the production team, it was revealed that this will be the Super Junior member’s first Chinese-language series 15 years after his first one, “Skip a Beat!”, and that the singer will once again reside in Taiwan for an extended period of time to film the latest series.
He will also be working with Taiwanese actress Regina Lei, who rose to prominence with her role as Leena in the PTS series, “Port of Lies”.
The series is adapted from the popular webcomic on LINE WEBTOON, which tells a story of a college girl who discovers a way to reverse time. She uses this ability to make her dreamy professor fall in love with her repeatedly.
In her pursuit, she goes to extreme lengths, even resorting to making blood sacrifices to the evil gods.
The upcoming series will be directed by Jack Hsu and is produced by Benson Chen.
