Sun Li recently revealed that she had ruptured the blood vessel in one of her eyes due to filming an overly intense scene.
The actress shared as much in a recent Weibo post, writing, “Yesterday I filmed the angriest and most anxious scene of the entire play, the kind where I was so anxious I was practically exploding with rage… And the weather was incredibly hot.”
Sun Li said that both she and her fellow actors felt like they had heatstroke and wanted to vomit, so she quickly downed a bottle of a traditional Chinese medicine for heatstroke.
“Today, when I looked at my eyes, the blood vessels looked a bit ruptured. Did my blood vessels burst from all that anger?” she posted, adding a laughing crying emoji.
Some medical experts pointed out that Sun Li’s symptoms are medically classified as subconjunctival haemorrhage, a sign rather than a specific disease.
It was revealed that the actress is currently filming the TV series “Survive” in Xiamen, Fujian. She also added to the current filming progress in the comments, mentioning that it has entered the 69th day of filming and that she has completed all the scenes for episode 6.
