BTS is back, and they mean business.

The South Korean group has once again topped the American Music Awards, walking away with the night’s biggest prize, Artist of the Year, at the 52nd AMAs held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The seven-member group beat out a formidable lineup that included Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, and Lady Gaga, and that is no small feat. It was also a triumphant return to the AMAs stage after a five-year absence, as the members completed their mandatory military service.

The group also picked up a second award on the night — Song of the Summer — for “Swim,” the lead track off their fifth studio album, “Arirang”.

The Artist of the Year win is their second in the category, following their historic 2021 victory when they became the first Asian act, and the first group since One Direction, to claim the top honour.

BTS is currently on a world tour, continuing their “Arirang World Tour” for most of this year.
